CinLee Commercial Cleaning Services was founded by Wayne and Ann DeFreitas, a husband-and-wife team whose story stretches from Trinidad to the heart of Columbus, Indiana. The name “CinLee” is a blend of Ann’s Trinidadian nickname “Cin” and Wayne’s middle name “Lee,” symbolizing the fusion of their heritage, values, and shared vision for a cleaning company built on integrity and excellence.

From Trinidad to Columbus, Indiana
Wayne first discovered Columbus in the 1980s and was immediately drawn to the community. After an economic downturn in Trinidad, Wayne and Ann made the life-changing decision to relocate in 1994, choosing Columbus as the place to build a new future.
Ann worked for nearly 15 years with a local janitorial company, while Wayne built a career at Toyota in quality control and production control—experiences that later shaped CinLee’s strong focus on quality, process, and people.

Humble Beginnings, Steady Growth
In 2011, a downsizing at Toyota became the turning point that launched CinLee. On the very day Wayne left Toyota, Wayne and Ann began cleaning their first major account, Circle K’s Midwest office—matching his monthly salary with their very first contract.
From that humble beginning, CinLee has grown steadily, now serving more than 50 clients across multiple sectors, including the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, major banks, industrial facilities, professional offices, and a wide range of small and medium-sized businesses.

A Trinidadian proverb guides the company’s philosophy: “The raindrops fill the bucket.” For Wayne and Ann, that means focusing on consistent, everyday excellence—small, reliable wins that add up to long-term success for their clients, their team, and their community.
Rather than relying on one “big whale,” they intentionally diversify their client base across banks, manufacturers, offices, nonprofits, and churches, building a strong, stable foundation for growth.
